Protecting What God Has Birthed In You, Part 2

When God births something in your life, a vision, calling, gift, or assignment, your responsibility does not end; it increases. Just like a newborn baby requires protection, attention, and care, what God has placed inside of you must be guarded and nurtured.

A mother with her first baby is careful about who holds the child and where the baby is placed. She protects the baby from harmful environments because she understands how valuable and fragile that life is. In the same way, God calls us to protect what He has birthed in us. Not every environment is safe, and not every voice is beneficial to your growth.

Sometimes the greatest threats are subtle: discouragement, doubt, distraction, and comparison. These things can weaken what God has planted if we allow them to remain unchecked. Guarding what God has birthed begins with guarding your heart, your thoughts, and your focus.

God has entrusted you with something meaningful. It may be a new direction, a ministry, a dream, or a season of growth. Protect it through prayer. Nurture it through obedience. Strengthen it through consistency. What God births, He intends to sustain, but He also calls you to steward it faithfully.

Today, ask God for wisdom to recognize what needs protecting and courage to establish the boundaries necessary to guard what He has given you. I leave you with this question! What has God placed in your life that needs greater protection and attention right now?

Lord, thank You for what You have birthed in my life. Give me wisdom to guard my heart and discernment to protect what You have entrusted to me. Help me to nurture it through prayer, obedience, and faithfulness. Strengthen me to set healthy boundaries and remain focused on Your purpose.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
