On Leaving A Legacy

On leaving a legacy

Psalm 78:4 “We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.”

Legacy is more than what we leave behind financially or materially. A true legacy is the spiritual impact we make on the lives of others. It is the faith, values, wisdom, and example we pass down to the next generation.

God calls us to intentionally pass down our faith to our children and those around us. One of the greatest examples of this is Ruth. Although she experienced loss, uncertainty, and hardship, she remained faithful to God. Ruth chose loyalty, humility, and obedience even when life was difficult. Because of her faithfulness, God redeemed her story and made her part of the lineage of Jesus Christ.

Ruth’s life reminds us that our past does not disqualify our purpose. God can take broken situations and turn them into something meaningful and eternal. The small acts of faithfulness we show today may become the foundation of blessings for future generations.

The legacy we leave is built daily, through prayer, love, consistency, forgiveness, and obedience to God. Our words, actions, and faith can influence generations long after we are gone. What legacy are you leaving your children?

Your story is not over. God is still building a legacy through your life.
