The fruit must speak, part 3
Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Last week, we reflected on love, joy, peace, and patience. Today, we consider kindness, goodness, and faithfulness, three more expressions of the fruit of the Spirit.
Kindness is more than being polite; it is love in action. It chooses to show compassion even when people don’t deserve it. Scripture calls us to “be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32). True kindness reflects the heart of God.
Goodness goes even deeper. It is choosing to do what is right, even when it is difficult. At times, doing good requires sacrifice and humility. Our human nature may resist, but the Word reminds us, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21).
Faithfulness is a loyal commitment to God, to His Word, and to the people He has placed in our lives. God is looking for servants who can be trusted with little before He gives them more. When we are faithful in small things, He opens greater doors.
These qualities are not produced by effort alone; they grow out of our relationship with Christ. As we walk with Him daily, His Spirit shapes our character.
Today, let your life speak through kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. Let the fruit of the Spirit be seen in all you do.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to reflect Your heart through my actions. Grow in me kindness, goodness, and faithfulness so that my life brings glory to You. In Jesus name, Amen.
Have a blessed week everyone!
